Looking for an Artist to Help Bring a Comic Book to Life

There’s a comic project brewing at FlyOverComics and right now the missing piece is an artist.

My roommate has been developing a comic book project and is looking for someone interested in collaborating visually. Whether you’re into gritty action, stylized heroes, noir shadows, wild sci-fi skylines, or emotionally charged character work, this could be a chance to help shape something from the ground floor instead of just hopping onto Issue #47 after the spaceship has already exploded three times.

Who We’re Looking For

Artists of all experience levels are welcome to reach out. Seriously.

You do not need to be working for Marvel, DC, or some mysterious underground graphic novel cabal hidden beneath a coffee shop. If you:

  • love comics,

  • enjoy storytelling,

  • want portfolio work,

  • want collaboration experience,

  • or just have a sketchbook full of characters waiting for a purpose...

…this may be worth talking about.

Digital artists, traditional artists, manga-inspired styles, western comic styles, experimental indie vibes, black-and-white ink work, painterly styles, all are welcome.

What to Include

If you contact him, it helps to include:

  • A few sample images or a portfolio link

  • Your preferred art style

  • Whether you enjoy character art, environments, action scenes, covers, etc.

  • Your general availability

  • Whether you’re looking for paid work, collaboration, rev-share, or portfolio building

Interested?

Even if you’re unsure whether your style “fits comics,” send a message anyway.
